This study of the discourse of mechanical engineering in Romania focuses on its distinctive characteristics and modes of discourse. A theory of argumentation must be taken into account when discussing matters pertaining to the discourse of Romanian engineers, engineering students, and researchers. This entails an understanding of and identification of arguments, as well as the objectives of the participants. Additionally, it necessitates an identification of the premises from which conclusions are derived and the method by which this is accomplished, ensuring the production of valid and sound arguments. These statements are predicated on the assumption that science is an activity, typically conceived of as the discovery and documentation of knowledge about the natural world. Scientists must persuade their scientific community that their research is based on a sound scientific method.
