For the two kids, Alex and Lisa, each day is full of miracles. All it takes to get into a fairy tale is to put on a hat; the cloud makes them travel around; you can make a step and find yourself hidden in a walnut; a duck is actually a girl who teaches you how to put your things in order. Not visible, but present, the writer takes part herself in the adventures of her little characters. Sometimes one can see bridges between the wonder world and the real one: the dragon the children meet happens to be just a young neighbor, but this discovery won’t ruin their adventures. Parents are in the end those to whom you can tell the trials you went through.
Doina Tatar’s stories will remind the children that others like them live in a world full of wonders. The grown ups discover how much they lost by getting older.
